Design of school science laboratories and accommodation
Andy offers advice and support for all those involved in the design and execution of individual science laboratories, learning spaces and whole science accommodation.
Services are available to consortia bidding for BSF (Building Schools for the Future) and other programmes, to local authorities, to individual architects and designers, and to schools and their science staff.
Andy designed and has lead the national course on laboratory design: "Lab Design, future science accommodation for teaching and learning" at the National Science Learning Centre, since its inception in 2005.
He has been involved in a range of individual laboratory designs and their build and fitting out. In addition he has advised a range of schools on proposed designs for high standard science teaching and learning accommodation as well as consortia bidding for major projects, including BSF programmes.
